Hello!

My name is Ellie Bazurto. I'm a design researcher and social innovation strategist specializing in qualitative research.

Originally from Northern California, I received a degree in Industrial and Interaction Design from Syracuse University and a Master's in Social Design from Maryland Institute College of Art. While on the East Coast, I worked on various design research initiatives and projects with a participatory design lens.

Back on the West Coast, in my free time, you can find me volunteering at local urban farms, experimenting with speculative ways to care for my plants ︎︎︎, hosting dinner parties, soaking up any sunshine, and attempting to tackle the ever-growing pile of books on my bedside table.


Process:


Influenced by the Human-Centered Design framework, I work through an iterative process combining various research methodologies, Co-Design, and Systems Thinking to generate opportunities for social innovation.
